A 22-year-old with roots in the Gaza Strip was killed at the scene of a stabbing attack that he carried out. The young man currently living in Rahat, a Bedouin village in Beer Sheva, got in line at the popular Aroma coffee shop which was at the Beit Jama Junction …and after a few moments he pulled out a knife from his pants and attacked a member of Israel’s security force who was in uniform. The man is a career soldier.
Magen David Adom security services report that the 51-year-old soldier was seriously injured. He was found unconscious with penetrating injuries and was critically transported to Soroka Hospital and received CPR en route. Another man who was 65 years old was treated on the scene for minor injuries and a third person was injured as well.
MDA’s senior medic described the scene as being chaotic. The surveillance video is shocking.
