The IDF has initiated a reinvasion of Gaza City, the first since January, involving tanks and air strikes. Reports from Palestinian residents and Reuters news agency confirm the presence of IDF tanks in the city amid heavy fire. This marks the fifth reinvasion of Gaza by the IDF since achieving operational control over northern and central Gaza earlier this year. Previous operations included Shifa Hospital, Jabalya, Nuseirat, and the ongoing reinvasion of Shejaia.
Overnight, the IDF evacuated the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City’s Zeitun neighborhood. The IDF reported that ground troops killed over 30 terrorists in Rafah and conducted air strikes on Hamas targets in Jabalya, killing at least 10 people. IDF forces located tunnel shafts and confiscated weapons.
The IDF intercepted a suspicious aerial target from the Red Sea, and another over Lebanon, without activating alerts.
