Big news also from Thursday includes an update that Hamas actually submitted a potential deal. This deal would return hostages and would not require Israel to fully leave Gaza. It would also allow Israel to restart the war with US backing if Hamas were to break the ceasefire. Israel is currently reviewing Hamas’s response to a three-phase proposal for the release of 120 hostages held in Gaza, according to a statement from the Mossad. The hostage negotiations have been mediated by Qatar and Egypt with a big involvement from the United States.
