Hezbollah is claiming responsibility for a drone attack coming from Lebanon into Northern Israel that injured more than a dozen Israelis. The drone hit a community center in Arab al-Aramshe, causing injuries to at 14 individuals, two of whom are in serious condition, as reported by the Magen David Adom ambulance service. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, stating it was in retaliation for the killing of three of its members, including two commanders, in Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon the day before. The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the attack but did not immediately provide details on casualties. Nearby structures, including a vehicle, were also reportedly affected.
Following the strike, alarms warning of incoming rockets sounded twice in Arab al-Aramshe. This incident adds to the escalating tension along the Israel-Lebanon border, with Hezbollah launching attacks on Israeli communities and military posts since October 8. The exchange of fire intensified, with Hezbollah firing rockets at the Biranit army base, prompting IDF artillery shelling of the launch sites. Israeli fighter jets also conducted airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon overnight, further exacerbating the conflict.
The recent skirmishes mark a continuation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, with each side sustaining casualties and engaging in retaliatory actions. Israel has threatened to escalate the situation into a full-scale war if Hezbollah persists in its border threats.
