On the night of October 22nd, 2025, Israel Daily News’ Shanna Fuld spoke to the Jewish community at Temple Or Elohim on New York’s Long Island. She dove into her experience as a journalist surviving a missile attack on her home and her research leading up to the war. She shared her full account of what happened to her and how she remained resilient in the process
“My attitude was – Israel needs to do what it needs to do to take care of Iran, even if that means I have to be displaced and the buildings around me come down.”
She also spoke about how Arab nations feel about Israel handling the war.
“If you think that Arab nations are impressed with Israeli diplomacy, you’re insane. Arab nations are impressed with Israel not backing down after two years of war.”
She also spoke about her journalistic experience researching the subject. Her years of research led her to realize that it wasn’t a matter of if, but when Israel would strike Iran. She described the Iranian missiles as the “big bad wolf” and how severe they are.
The full speech lasted an hour with an additional 30 minutes for questions.
