Israel Daily News and HER Tel Aviv are proud to present a special evening as part of the HER Tel Aviv International Summer Festival, showcasing three outstanding women whose work is shaping the future of Israel and the Jewish people.

The panel, hosted by Israel Daily News Founder Shanna Fuld brings together three generations of women leaders for a poignant conversation about the role Jewish women play today in shaping the future and security of Israel. Whether building communities, creating volunteer opportunities, supporting one another, or doing good in the world – these women have been fighting for it and living their values every day.
The Panelists
Ora, Chairwoman of the World Board of WIZO Israel, has spent decades helping women in Israel — work that predates the founding of the State itself. Her organization supports women coming from abusive backgrounds, runs women’s shelters, cares for women with children and orphanages, and offers free legal advice, women’s circles, and supportive communities, including for women navigating separation and divorce.
Leigh has spent the past 12 years building and managing a community of 35,000 women, generating over 3,000 posts a day with the help of a dedicated team of women volunteers — creating a space of support, connection, and mutual aid on a massive scale.
Yocheved “Yochi” Ruttenberg is the founder and CEO of Sword of Iron Israel Volunteer Corps, the fastest-growing volunteer movement in Israel, mobilizing over 40,000 people worldwide since October 7th. Living in Dallas, Texas and working in sales before the war, Ruttenberg left everything and flew to Israel just days after October 7th — at only 24 years old — bringing 23 duffel bags full of supplies with her. What was supposed to be a two-week trip turned into Aliyah and a canceled return ticket. She has since dedicated herself fully to bridging gaps between communities around the world and inspiring people everywhere to take action.
The Host
Shanna Fuld is the founder and anchor of Israel Daily News, a print journalist and international conference host at the Jerusalem Post. A go-to Israel expert on American television, Shanna also researched for Showtime’s Ghosts of Beirut series and leads Tribe Tel Aviv, an international community known for its high-profile networking and social events.
