Monday just before Passover, Maj.-Gen. Aharon Haliva, head of the IDF Military Intelligence Directorate, announced he is retiring from the IDF. He made the move official after submitting a resignation letter to IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi.The IDF confirmed Haliva’s retirement, stating it was a decision made in collaboration with the Chief of Staff and with the approval of the Minister of Defense, with plans for an orderly succession process.
