A tragic incident unfolded today when a truck rammed into a crowd near a bus stop on Aharon Yariv Boulevard in Ramat Hasharon. Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency responders reported that 37 people were initially injured in the attack, with hospitals confirming that one of the victims has since succumbed to their injuries.
The incident occurred at 10:08 AM, with MDA’s 101 Emergency Call Center receiving distress calls and dispatching ambulances, Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICUs), and Medicycle responders to the scene. Emergency teams provided on-site treatment before evacuating the wounded to multiple hospitals across the region, including Ichilov, Beilinson, Hasharon, Wolfson, and others.
MDA’s Blood Services promptly provided 90 units of blood and blood components to assist hospitals treating the victims.
“When we arrived, we saw a truck had hit dozens of people standing at the bus stop. Eight were trapped under the truck, and many others were scattered nearby. We immediately performed triage and began evacuating casualties,” described Elior Yosef, Senior MDA EMT. He called it a chaotic and challenging scene.
Other first responders said they saw a number of people pinned under the truck and that they had to begin treating them as soon as they arrived.
“It was a difficult scene—people trapped and injured in various states. We stopped bleeding, treated injuries, and worked alongside the fire department to extricate the last trapped individual,” said MDA Paramedic Yissachar Weiss.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the motive behind the attack and are working to ensure the safety of residents in the area.
