An Israeli airstrike in central Beirut killed Hezbollah’s spokesman, Mohammed Afif, who was influential in the group’s military operations. The IDF targeted him specifically, without issuing evacuation warnings, following his rise in prominence after the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. On the same day, the IDF conducted airstrikes against various Hezbollah targets, intensifying their military actions and hitting over 50 locations. Around 20 rockets were also launched from Lebanon toward northern Israel, with some intercepted by the IDF.
The IDF also destroyed a Hezbollah weapons cache and tunnel during their operations in southern Lebanon as well. 60,000 residents are still evacuated from north Israeli towns.
