The United Nations is set to add Israel to a list of “Global Offenders.”
Israel’s envoy to the UN Gilad Erdan announced that the global body’s Secretary-General Antonio Guterres intends to add Israel to the list due to violations against children in conflict zones. This decision has sparked outrage and condemnation from Israeli officials.

Erdan says he is quote “utterly shocked and disgusted” by what he described as a “shameful decision,” emphasizing that Israel’s military is considered by many as “the most moral army in the world.”
This move by the UN has further strained relations and has led to heightened diplomatic tensions. The Israeli government is preparing for an official announcement from Guterres, which is expected to impact international perceptions and possibly military aid provisions from allied countries.
